Freshwater Cannabis Company is pleased to announce the creation of our nonprofit, Freshwater Foundation. The Fresh Water Foundation will be a multi focus non-profit dedicated to solving issues surrounding the cannabis industry.
As the name implies, the Fresh Water Foundation will be helping keep fresh water fresh. Our lakes, rivers, and streams are our greatest resource, and we want to do our part to keep them clean and usable. Aside from donations to water cleaning projects we hope to also host water action events that will help more directly. For now, our efforts will be focused on fresh water in Lake and Chippewa county, Michigan though we have plans to expand.
We are always looking to the future and part of that involves us partnering with local universities to get new insights and fresh ideas from young bright minds that are passionate about our environment. We hope to work closely with these schools and create unique opportunities for their students.
Outside of classrooms and lakes, our foundation is also focused on is aiding individuals disproportionately affected by the prohibition of marijuana through grants. As legalization continues to spread across the nation, we firmly believe in the reversal of unfair cannabis related sentencing and want to do our part to free otherwise innocent people and reunite families affected by these rulings.
It’s important to us that we do more than just clean our water, we want to do our best to limit our own environmental impact. Our sister company, Canna Cousins Cultivators, is focused on creating cutting edge and sustainable technology to make sure that we are not having detrimental effects on the environment and water quality of the communities we inhabit.
